SAY WHAT?!

Arguably the first Hip House track outside of Chicago. Its legend hardly needs covering and if you have not heard it before then back to music history classes you should go.

The Native tongues were the hip hop heavy-weights of their time punching out a hip hop template with a focus on African roots. De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest and the Jungle Brothers added ethniticity to a genre that would later influence the likes of Fugees & Arrested Development.
