When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

If you use Gravatar, an anonymised string (hash) of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to check for a profile. Their privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture (if you have one) may appear next to it.

If you upload images to the site, please avoid uploading files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors can download and extract that information.

Cookies
We use cookies to improve your experience. Here’s how:

  • If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email and website in cookies. These last for one year.

These third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with their content – particularly if you’re logged in to their service. Please refer to their own privacy policies.

Who we share your data with
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How long we retain your data
