Studio 54. Paradise Garage. The Loft.
Clubs where fashion, music, art and nightlife collided. Places built on great records, great sound systems, and people expressing themselves however they felt fit. Spaces where everyone, gay, straight, Black, white, famous, unknown, came together on the dancefloor and left everything else at the door.
The soundtrack follows that same spirit. Disco, boogie, soul, funk and early dance music. The records that shaped club culture long before anyone called it club culture.
The Art of Going Out
People dressed up because the night mattered, and because those rooms gave them permission to be exactly who they were.
Halston tailoring. Grace Jones attitude. Bianca Jagger glamour. Sylvester in full voice. The house kids who made fashion out of nothing. Sequins, satin, silk shirts, sharp cuts, gold jewellery, oversized sunglasses. Individuality over uniform. Queerness as a visual language.
Make an effort. Dress for the occasion. Be as understated or outrageous as you like. Bring your whole self.

Friday’s Lineup
Al Fiasco
Al is London-based, having started off DJing in the 90s in Hull and spent many years between soaking up musical influences in Nottingham, Manchester, and Spain amongst other places.
Matt Richards (Carnivalism)
Matt Richards has been DJing since 1992. Co-founder of Carnivalism and Field Trip Festival and the driving force behind Greetings from Carnivalism. For more than three decades he’s been connecting people through unexpected records, whether on boat parties, dancefloors, radio shows, livestreams or festival stages.
Dom Forbes (Carnivalism)
Hull-born Dom Forbes has been sharing music since childhood, from homemade mixtapes to dancefloors and airwaves across the UK. He co-founded Carnivalism in 2002 and has spent more than two decades creating parties, playing records and championing new music. His monthly Deep Excursions show on Venn Radio explores deep electronic sounds, hidden gems and unexpected connections.
